Let's Go Mariners!

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate seeing the Yankees win? I would like nothing more this fall (short of, perhaps, a brand new car, or maybe a ticket to the Concert for New York) than to see the Yankees get their asses handed to them by the Mariners. Let's Go M's!

I'm also hoping that the Diamondbacks manage to knock off the Braves, though not with quite the passion that I'm rooting against the Yankees. Another Yankees/Braves World Series is, really, the last thing I want to see this fall. Let's Go D'Backs!

Another key sports matchup tonight: Devils vs. Rangers. My beloved Devils haven't won a game all season, their worst start in their history, and if the Blueshirts put them down 0-4 I'm just going to lose all hope. Marty's going to have to stand on his head until the new Mogilny-less offense gets things firing on all cylinders (Earth to Scott Gomez: Just shoot the puck!). Let's go Devils!

Just announced: The Pat McGee Band will be playing an acoustic set right here in the Burg on 28 October. This'll make show number nine for me; scary, considering I've only been following them for about a year and a half.
