Happy Monday!

Lots of updates today...let's do sports first.

Wow, the NFL kicked my ass yesterday. I don't gamble, but I do make picks every week; I've gotten four correct so far. Hopefully the Giants can pull off a win tonight against Philly to push my total for the week to five...but please, the Redskins? I watched that game yesterday pretty much start to finish, and the Panthers just blew it; what a stinker!

The D'Backs beat the Braves last night to become the youngest franchise to ever make it to the World Series. Unfortunately, however, Bret Boone's solo homer was not enough for the Mariners to beat the Yanks; now they're down 3-1 and are looking at a must-win at Yankee Stadium tonight. I'll be flipping between that game, Raw, and Monday Night Football. Joy.

Speaking of wrasslin', a quick recap of No Mercy: mostly crap. There were a few standouts, especially the Rock/Jericho match (I don't recall the last time I was so emotionally involved in a match) and the Edge/Christian Ladder Match (those guys never cease to amaze me in that format), but it was mostly a night of subpar matches. I could really do without Vinnie Mac back in the storylines, especially since we're all but assured a twenty minute promo from him tonight. I am heartened, however, at the likelihood of the Rock/Jericho feud carrying on to at least Survivor Series. Seriously, that feud could carry the WWF right now if the writers would let it.

Didn't do a whole lot of work yesterday, but managed to work out a class schedule for next semester that should allow me to continue working the morning shift at the computer lab and have good portions of my afternoons off. After next semester, I'll have only one GenEd class remaining, and be four Econ electives away from a minor. w00t!

Fairly easy day/week ahead, as there's no football game on Saturday (the last free Saturday until Thanksgiving). I'm planning on taking Friday afternoon to look at apartments with Amanda, and the rest of my weekend looks amazingly wide open. It's just as well, because I have a buttload of physics problems due on Halloween and a CS Programming Assignment (for which I don't even know the specs yet) due the day before. At least Planet of the Apes is showing at Grafton.
