And another thing...
Something I forgot to mention about bowling last night: I cannot stand people who make no effort to finish bowling before the next league comes in. While it is possible that the lanes had broken down at some point and their tardiness is not their own fault, they should at least try to clear out when they're finally done. We waited ten minutes last night for the teams bowling ahead of us to leave, and that was after the final ball was thrown. Instead of gathering their things so that we could start a little late, they sit on their asses and b.s. about NASCAR for awhile, then think about getting their balls off the rack, then put their shoes on. The lanes weren't turned on for practice for our league last night until 9:45, 15 minutes late. Unacceptable.
I also don't understand why there needs to be a jukebox in a bowling alley. During open bowling is one thing, but I really don't need country music blasting (the volume was entirely too loud) while I'm bowling. Come to think of it, I don't need country music PERIOD, but that's another matter altogether.
So MGS2:SoL comes out on Friday and I'm still without a PS2. What's your MGS Name? Mine's Bilingual Caribou.
Citizen Kane is playing in Grafton-Stovall tonight, and I'm going to check it out with Amanda. Surprisingly, I've never seen what is often considered one of the great cinematic classics, so I'm pretty excited. Free popcorn, too.
Dan was working on Calculus with Jenn last night and brought a problem to my attention that I thought I'd share:
A plane is flying at an altitude of five miles with an airspeed of 600 miles/hour toward a point directly above an observer. Find the rate of change of the angle of elevation when the angle is 30°.
Why is it that Calculus in high school was so difficult, and Calculus in college is so easy?
24 last night was absolutely awesome. I've never gotten so engrossed in a show so quickly; X-Files took almost an entire season to get me really hooked. I'm really just hoping that the writers can keep up the great storylines through the entire season.
