I didn't make it

Around 11:30 last night, after working on The Programming Assignment for awhile, my brain felt weary. I lay down on my bed, taking a short break until midnight when the meteor show would begin, and the next thing I knew it was dark and the clock said 3:15. I was a little disappointed, but I figured it'd be closer to peak time, so I put on my jacket and went outside.

To my disappointment, the sky was hazy, diluting all the ambient light in the area to make the sky practically unwatchable. I came back inside, beaten, and went back to bed. And thusly, missed an opportunity of a lifetime.
