Virginians are wimps

Sitting in d-hall this morning I listened to the radio announcing school closings and delays all over Virginia. It's bad enough that they closed school yesterday, when all the snow had finished by 9 PM Sunday night, but to close them again the following day is embarassing. Don't they have any clue how to clear roads?

Spent about 3 1/2 hours yesterday playing Gran Turismo 3, starting simulation mode from scratch. My first car was a white VW Beetle 2.0 that I upgraded from its stock 118 HP to 180 HP by installing new exhaust, a racing chip, a dual-plate clutch, and an NA upgrade kit. I was awarded a red Toyota Sprinter after completing the Sunday Cup in Beginner mode. And I'm 1.3% through the game. I love my PS2.

It's weird to look at my schedule for the day and see classes. English today, then Microeconomics. $20 says I have a reading assignment by the end of my English class.

For anyone who wants information on my break...patience. I'll write updates alongside my usual running commentary as I go. For now, let me just say that I had a great time.
