The Birth of a Semester
The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good, and Who Want to Learn to Do Other Stuff Good, Too.
I loved Zoolander. Not stupid funny at all; most of it was quite smart. It did have its slow moments, but the same could be said for another comedic classic, Austin Powers. The DVD doesn't come out for another coupla months, though...bummer.
Grafton-Stovall is having a mini-film festival this week: "Vivian Leigh to Ice Cube: Six Degrees in Grafton-Stovall." Gone With The Wind, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Godfather, Apocalypse Now Redux, Boyz n the Hood, and Friday. I'll be at The Godfather & Apocalypse Now, and I'm getting pretty excited.
Got in a couple hours of Gran Turismo earlier this afternoon, after working on my BS CS 350 homework and English reading. I've now upgraded my Miata to include a level 1 turbo kit and an entirely new racing transmission. Tuning the transmission properly allows me to break 15 seconds on the 1/4-mile and reach 177 MPH on the max speed test. I am absolutely loving this game. 4.0% complete.
I've now been at work for almost two hours and nothing has happened. I am bored out of my mind. And I have two more hours before I am free of this torture. Fortunately, I don't work another 4-hour Sunday night shift until 24 Feb.
Tomorrow I get to sleep a bit later than usual (though no later than today), as I don't work and my first class is at 12:20. Not being at work, I'll probably not write an update until tomorrow night; maybe it'll be the continuation of the Christmas Break recap.
