Friday Night

Saw The Others tonight at Grafton, and was rather impressed by it. Not at all what I expected, it kept tension throughout the film without overdoing it, making the actual scares somehow more worthwhile. Highly recommended.

Taking a timeout from my current frenzy of CSS research/play and I'm watching the lighting of the Olympic torch...wow. I saw that thing in person in Boston, and now it's part of the latest olympic games. That thing looks pretty cool.

Seems like every time the Olympics roll around I'm apathetic...then I watch the opening ceremonies and I get sucked it. They're generally over-the-top, but to remember that people did this over two millennia ago rings true with me. I'm such a sucker.
