ESPN: Whiny asshole threatens to take his ball and go home. "Fleury said he chose to get sober in part so he could participate in the Olympics for Canada." What pisses me off about this story is the sense of entitlement that he seems to feel: "I battled alcoholism, so now everyone has to be nice to me." Shut your mouth, Theo. You're not the only one with problems, so if you're going to rub it in everyone's face, you might as well start drinking again. Hey the Olympics are over and you have a gold medal; why not celebrate?! As it is, you're wasting your time and you're messing with the Rangers' (slim) hopes at putting together a playoff run.
In related news, Scott Gomez had two goals in a 4-3 Devils win over the Rangers. Brodeur's back, having just tasted a Championship, and he wants another one. Look out Philadelphia, the Devils are coming for you.
