Things I Learned Yesterday

1. Gonzaga is a choker.
   This fact makes me sad. As my selection for the Final Four from the West bit the dust yesterday, I hung my head in shame. Apart from that one team, however, my West bracket is shaping up fairly well. Let's go Hawaii!
2. If you see a team in person play a great game and "have a feeling" about them, for the love of Christ, pick them!
   UNC-Wilmington kicked the collective asses of the Dukes when I saw them play here a month ago, and as I put the final touches on my bracket yesterday, I strongly considered picking them for the upset over USC. Watching the end of that game last night was pretty brutal, but unbelieveably exciting. Who would have thunk that the CAA would produce a team that got past the first round? I just hope that Indiana can handle them tomorrow.
3. Duke is going to win it all.
   Fortunately, this is one fact of which I was well aware while making my picks. Watching the score soar in the little gray box on CBS was mind-boggling. Duke Invitational, indeed.
