Super Sleuth

Did you ever have anything like Super Sleuth back in grammar school? It was a calendar that got a new post every day, and each post was a clue. Monday was the category and a very general clue, Tuesday was somewhat more specific...all the way up until Friday, when the answer was all but given to you. The game was, the first person to submit a correct answer and the location where they found confirmation won a prize for the week. I liked that game.

But I digress.

Amanda has this tendency to type :D online fairly often. I don't know why, but it has always reminded me of an old Calvin and Hobbes strip; one that I could never quite put my finger on. I mentioned this to Amanda today, and decided that it was time to track it down.

Through prodigious use of Google and Google Image Search, I came up with...nothing. No, my victory came when I opened The Indespensible Calvin And Hobbes. Page 16, center strip, was the one I was thinking of all along. So now I needed an online version to show Amanda.

I assumed that the book was in chronological order, so I found the nearest Christmas strip and counted backwards from there. I finally found it.
