A Look Back

Saturday began with the "traditional" hazing of Aunt Sue and Amy at UREC under the guise of racketball. Aunt Sue came out with a punctured lung, and Amy suffered only a bruised elbow (and ego). Immediately thereafter, we all met Dan, Jenn, and Amanda at D-Hall for breakfast. We convinced them to join us for an afternoon swimming at the Hotel's pool.

Before that, however, we needed to procure bathing suits for Amy, Jenn, and myself. Jenn had a hard time finding one that did her boobs justice, but once that was squared away, we were able to spend 2+ hours in the pool/jacuzzi at the hotel. We invented games and bastardized others (Your Mom!), and finished it off with a poolside game of Cranium. Afterward, Amanda, Dan and Jenn went back to campus while my family, Karen and I went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.

What did we learn at B-Dubs? Lots, thanks to the trivia game, but the most important thing was that both "Smoky Southwestern" and "Hot" flavors of the wing sauce are too hot for Dad. Didn't seem to matter, though, as he polished off nine of each flavor.

Our plan for after dinner was to head back to the hotel and figure out something to do, but instead we spent 45 minutes at ISAT. I can't possibly describe what transpired, but I promise pictures as soon as I get them.

Afterward, I took Amy over to Relay For Life to visit Karen, and we managed to find our grandfather's candle immediately after it had been lit. We didn't find our grandmother's, though. In the next 20 minutes, I drove Amy back to the hotel, myself back to campus, parked, and was outside my dorm's front door in time to catch Amanda on the way down. We went to see Black Hawk Down, and I was very impressed. Need to see it a few more times; there's just too many characters to keep track of.

This morning, everyone got up (even Amanda!) to head to IHOP for breakfast at 10:30. At around 11:40, we were finished, and my family and Jenn headed home. A great weekend, and a prelude to what will surely be an amazing vacation in July.

Thanks, Family!
