Birthday Recap (Thus Far)
Spent the morning in the lab and the initial part of the afternoon in class, as usual, but came back to my room to Dan and Amanda drawing me a birthday picture on my whiteboard. They gave me a copy of Traffic and a one-sheet of The Usual Suspects; very nice!
Karen then came over during Amanda and my hockey game and hung out until we finished (I whupped on Amanda 4-2), then gave me my present: copies of Gremlins, My Cousin Vinny (one of my favorite comedies of all time), and O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Today was, happily, the last day for both my English and Econ classes, and tomorrow marks the final day of classes for the semester. I'm now doing some minimal packing for my triumphant return to NJ tomorrow while at the same time getting psyched for the PMB show in C'Ville tonight. Setlist and recap of the party will follow, possibly as late as 3 or 4 AM tonight. Until then...

Hmmm. So, let me get this straight.
When I trounce you, 4-1, no mention of hockey at all.
When you “whup” me, with a slightly less impressive lead, it’s noteworthy.
I like how that works. :P
Score is not always indicative of how badly a team is beaten. I dominated you all game.
Similarly, your “trouncing” of me came on the heels of three early goals off of a faltering Jocelyn Thibault. That you only scored one more goal after he was pulled destroys any possiblitly of it being called a “trouncing.”
Anytime you want a piece of me, bring it on.
