Another one bites the dust

Slashdot is reporting that Audiogalaxy has "reached a settlement" with the RIAA to restrict access to all music whose copyright holder has not explicitly granted Audiogalaxy permission to share the song. It's a damn shame, too, because I only bought Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport because I downloaded it (in its entirety) from Audiogalaxy and liked what I heard.

This Slashdot poster says it best: "The dinosaurs aren't just being replaced by mammals, they're encouraging them to do it as quickly as possible."
