Support Request

I've gone ahead and submitted a trouble report to Gateway regarding my problematic speakers. Let's see what the turnaround time is.

I'm currently reinstalling Windows and have come across issues with my Boston Acoustics 7500G speakers.

I have downloaded the latest drivers for the Creative SoundBlaster Live! Value and installed them, setting the output to "Digital Only." The speakers fail to work. I have toggled the output to analog to no avail. I have checked all the connections. I have tested the 1/8" cable from the soundcard to the subwoofer on another system, and it appears to be in working order. I have also attempted to remedy the problem by following the instructions at (http://support.gateway.com/s/issues/134527880.shtml)--doesn't work.

With the soundcard set to analog output, I have plugged in analog headphones, and they work perfectly, so I know that the problem is not with the soundcard. The only other possibility is a hardware issue with the speakers. If you know of other courses of action to try, please let me know.
