The Next Generation

A working draft for XHTML 2.0 is out, and I'm slogging my way through it. I've never read a spec before. Interesting notes, so far:

• No more img tag. It's being replaced with object.
• No more applet tag. It's also being replaced with object. Noticing a pattern? More generalized tags are a good thing.
• Frames are back. Weird?
• Deprecated tags are gone.
• Everything has a href. Definitely keeping in the spirit of the WWW.
