I got my car back today.

Apparently, my alternator was bad, supplying my battery with 16V instead of the usual 14.5V. This 'overcharged' the battery and caused my car's 0inability to start. While I cannot confirm the veracity of this claim, I do know that I provided the good people at Midas with US$280 and they provided me with a fully functional Slartibartfast. Thanks, Midas.

And thanks, Karen and Dan, for shuttling me around for the past 28 hours. You are true friends.
