I got a response last night from the Lead Network Engineer. Apparently, the date on the email sent to me was wrong; it was actually referencing Tuesday (as in, two-days-ago-Tuesday). He also provided me with the logs: I uploaded about 350 MB and downloaded about 312 MB in a single 24-hour period.

These stats bring two thoughts to mind. The first is, how did I possibly upload 350 MB in a day? I only ran WinMX for about an hour. The second is, I have probably downloaded three times what I downloaded Tuesday in previous 24-hour periods. Was Tuesday a day for random samples, and I just happened to be on the list? At any rate, I'm not going to worry about it; I haven't abused anything, willfully or not.
