It All Comes Down to Today
Sundays, as you probably know, are usually devoted entirely to NFL action around here. Not so today, as today is the last day of the regular baseball season. "But AJ," you ask, "Your Mets have already clinched last place. All of the playoff spots have been set. What possible suspense could there be heading into today, the final day of the regular season?"
I'm glad you asked. For as you may or may not know, my dad and I participate in a fantasy baseball league every year where there is US$20 on the line. He's lead most of the year, and in the middle of last week was up by three points. My pitching limits have been exceeded, so I can no longer gain points there, but my offense lives. Yesterday morning I awoke to find myself three points in front of dad. Today I wake up to find that we are tied.
