It Just Won't Die
In the time since I have made my peace with the story that won't die, I have met face to face with Dr. Rooney. In the meeting, he explicitly asked me to "take down" this website. He made it clear to me that he believes that there is no right in America to use or run a forum such as this, where people may post comments anonymously. His opinion differs from mine; I can neither praise nor condemn his opinion. It is not what I believe, but that does not make it wrong.
I will continue to run this blog with my beliefs in mind and my principles in place. I cannot allow myself to be swayed or pressured by a position that I do not feel in my heart. To do so would be the ultimate cowardice.
As I have made abundantly clear in the past few days, all comments posted to this site are owned by whomever wrote them. I have no control over what people write here. With this in mind, and as a sign of respect for and show of good faith toward the band staff, I will accept and honor requests from anyone who posted a comment on the Sheep thread to delete their comment. If you posted a comment that you wish removed, please post your request as a comment attached to this article. I will not accept private emails; call it a request for public responsiblity for your words.
If you posted to the Sheep thread, this is not an encouragement or a discouragement to request that your comment be deleted. I hold true to my stance that people need to be responsible for themselves and their words, and I do not seek to sway you either way. I do ask that, if you choose to request that your post is deleted, you use the same computer to post the request as you did to post the comment. IP addresses are logged when each comment is posted, and comparing the IP address associated with the comment with the IP address associated with the deletion request is the only (admittedly imperfect) way I can be sure that it is the author that has requested a deletion.
In the future, I do not expect to afford this luxury to my readers and commenters. It's a fair amount of work for me, and it's simply not what I want this blog to be about. In the future, simply think twice before posting.

I respectfully request that all posts made by bones1369 and Benjamin Polk be removed from the Sheep thread. Again, I apologize for my actions.
Hey, I respect your decisions entirely and would like to also have my words removed for the sake of the band. Glad that we are able to move on and forget about these actions, I again apologize for allowing my temper to flare. I’m sure we are all sick of thinking or hearing about our squabble. I respect your decision and ask that any posts made by Andy or by this IP address be taken down. Thanks

Just so I am not in much more trouble, remove my comments. I think this is an infringement upon our freedom of speech. I should be able to say what I want, when I want, and to whomever I want. However, I do not wish to be in concert band for the rest of my career therefore I wish to have my comments removed. Sorry to make you work so hard.

Oh i forgot too. To the person who revealed everyone’s handles on this website. I hope you go to hell because your trust or lack thereof makes you not worth much. It’s not an issue of what’s right or wrong it’s an issue of people trying to sweep an issue under the carpet and not take care of it. Hence no formal apologies being issued. My regrets to those with Rooney appointments.
