Schedule This!
Amanda mentioned offhandedly today that she started making plans for her Spring schedule of classes. Seeing as I'm stuck (once again) in a computer lab with no one to tutor, I figured I'd get a head start on my own.
This semester is the last where I'll have to worry about taking GenEd classes, so I'm now free to overwhelm myself with CS courses to my heart's desire. In reality, I would still like to try an Economics minor, so that's a consideration too.
The first thing I noticed, upon looking at a page of all CS offerings next semester, is that most of the classes I want/need are Tuesday/Thursday deals. The second was that Dr. Bernstein was teaching CS 462.
I quickly threw together a tentative schedule, and it looks like it might actually work. It compresses all of my classes into Tuesdays and Thursdays, leaving me the opportunity for four-day weekends and the most-appreciated Wednesdays of my life.
The question now is whether I can get each of the sections I need for the schedule to work. My first class of the day, at 9:30, will be either Intermediate Microeconomic Theory or Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory. Whichever one is open is what I'll go with.
My second and fourth classes are predetermined, as they are only offered at one time apiece: CS 462 at 11 and SMAD 356 (necessary for an easy-to-obtain Telecom minor) at 2.
Once those classes are set, the rest of the schedule falls into place: CS 461 at 12:30 and CS 345 at 3:30.
Scheduling begins late next week. There is nothing worse than watching class spots disappear, and I have a feeling I'll be doing quite a bit of that until my appointment comes up at noon on November 4.

GAH! I wish I hadn’t started this!!! Topics in Biology? HOW VAGUE! And why does one class I WANT have to end 10 minutes after one I HAVE to take starts? Do I leave one 5 minutes early and show up at another 5 minutes late? What do I do?! Can things be more overlapping, please?
