Faith-Based Ignorance
We get a fair amount of editorials in our campus paper debating the virtues of creationism (versus the evils of evolution) and vice versa. Amanda gets slightly more upset with each one, as they're never fully informed, and it hurts her to see people spreading FUD and half-truths about evolutionary theory. For this reason, I decided not to comment on this gem, which doesn't even take a quasi-scientific approach to creationism; it presumes that the Earth is really 6000 years old. I figured Amanda could do a better job tearing it apart than I ever could.
It was not to be. She sent me this:
[06:52:43 PM] DorkFishGirl: I'm sorry, I can't read this, it's making me sick to my stomach
Fact is, that quote says more about the article than I ever could. Thanks, Amanda.
