Fifth District

This year is the first real race for a seat in Congress in my 5th District since 1980. I began reading about it a few days ago in preparation for Election Day, and had made up my mind who I would be voting for within a minute or so of visiting the Republican Candidate's website.

First, he's billed as being the type of Republican "that President Bush needs in Congress." This by itself is disheartening, but the headline of this press release is enough to sway me completely.

Anne Sumers seems the way to go. Unfortunately, this race seems as predetermined as the last eleven.
