Donnie Darko
I went to see Donnie Darko at Grafton-Stovall tonight based strictly upon word-of-mouth. When the October film schedule came out last month, I outright dismissed it, as I'd never even heard of it. Since then, three separate people on campus (plus one who I don't even know) called it awesome.
But that was the extent of my knowledge of the film. A few minutes before it started, I actually turned to Amanda and said, "So, is this thing supposed to be scary or what?" I'd never even seen a trailer.
I can't accurately describe Donnie Darko. I suppose if I had to categorize it, I'd call it a sci-fi/teen comedy/horror/mystery/drama. And that's about as specific as I can get.
See Donnie Darko at least once. I haven't decided if I liked it yet, but I certainly enjoyed myself for two hours.
