The Red Sox have hired Bill James to be their "Senior Advisor, Baseball Operations". Imagine the Oakland A's with the financial resources of one of the richest men in America and the most die-hard fanbase anywhere, and that's what the Red Sox could look like in a few years.

I can almost hear George Steinbrenner ranting from here.
