MVP Controversey
Naturally, someone who isn't Alex Rodriguez won this year's MVP award. Naturally, I'm pissed off, and there are plenty of people that agree with me.
Look, ARod plays for a shitty team. Yes, he knew that it wasn't going to be pretty when he signed there, and yes, his contract contributes to the continued shittiness of his team. But of all the players in the American League, I believe that Alex Rodriguez helped to win more games for his team than any of them.
Alex Rodriguez has obscene amounts of value no matter where he plays. Playing for a contender would not increase his value in any way; in fact, it could be argued (but I won't) that playing for a great team might have made him seem less valuable. But playing for a crappy team also doesn't diminish his value. He was the best player in the American League this year, and is the rightful recipient of the MVP award.

As long as the Baseball Writers do the voting this will continue to happen. To much predudice(did I spell that right). Maybe it’s time for the REAL fans to do the voting. Just my opinion.
