Separation

Dan is wondering how he can write without, as he puts it, "betraying confidences."

Simple, Dan: don't write about stuff like that on your blog. If it's not fit for public consumption, it's not fit to be published.

Some people weight their blogs toward business. Others find a good mix. Others restrict themselves largely to personal anecdotes (no examples...try 85%-90% of the LiveJournal population). If you want to publish, just find things that you're comfortable talking about in front of an audience, and go.

If you need an outlet for things you don't want public, just get a notebook and go.
