Lennon-McCartney-Lennon

Amanda and I were looking at Why Things Are's section on the Beatles last night, and it deconstructed the Lennon-McCartney credit down to which had a larger hand in the creation of each. I commented that it was strange that songs that seemed to have been written almost exclusively by one or the other were invariably credited to both. Now it seems that Paul is trying to claim first-billing rights on the songs that he claims to have been the principal author [via Boing Boing].
