The Two Towers

I've yet to read a bad review of The Two Towers, and I'm not about to write one. Neither do I believe that I can say anything original in a positive vein about it, so I'm just going to say that I sat in the theater for three hours with my mouth hanging open. I feel like there's no way I can wait the year for the trilogy to wrap up.

I will voice one minor quibble with one minor detail of the film: Liv Tyler's pierced ears were plainly visible. I don't recall noticing it in the first movie, and I'm not entirely sure why I noticed it this time around, but those holes in her ear lobes were gaping at me every time she was onscreen. Did elves have pierced ears? I dunno.
