In The Front Yard, We Can Build A Snowman

For the first time in over thirty years (so I'm told), Bergen county has gotten more than an inch of snow on Christmas. In our yard, we have about a foot. So when I went outside to shovel the driveway a couple hours ago I was happy to discover that the snow, while not all that heavy, was fairly sticky and packed well.

I invited Amy outside and, after allaying her fears that I would pummel her mercilessly with snowballs (it is Christmas, after all), built a snowman with her in the front yard. I can't recall the last time I built a snowman at all, and to do it on Christmas is something that may never happen again in my lifetime.

Although Dad wasn't around all day (out plowing), and we didn't open presents this morning (see previous; we did it last night), today was a special Christmas.
