The Year In Review: Things I Have Learned
A look back at the wrong and stupid things I have said in print in 2002.
- I am not nearly the evaluator of baseball talent that I think I am.
- Time still hasn't told.
- Come to think of it, I'm not a very good predictor of hockey success, either.
- Back to that baseball thing ... Roberto Alomar was a number 1 draft pick. Ugh.
- I must never again ask nurses what the most disgusting thing they have ever seen is.
- Working between different versions of the JVM can be absolute hell.
- Don't count your chickens before they are hatched.
- No servers on the Optimum Online network, bitch!
- Video game release dates are not set in stone.
- In the future, calling anything "hardcore Bardo-style action" will probably not convey what I want it to convey.
- Every day is a good day for a total system backup.
- Things can always get worse.
- I badly underestimated what I thought my feelings would be on Tori Amos.
- Finally, and most importantly, never pick a fight with the clarinet section.
