New York Times: Professors Vie with Web for Class' Attention [via Boing Boing].
Merely another example of dinosaurs trying to solve the problems created by their inability to evolve by writing laws outlawing mammals. There are professors that are simply not worth listening to, and there is no way that banning wireless internet access or computers in a classroom will force their tortured students to pay attention. Distractions exist in any situation where a professor isn't worth listening to. Hell, I wouldn't even have been in HELLF every day except one if it hadn't been for Dr. Prodoehl's draconian attendance policy.
