Ill-Prepared

On the eve of my return to Virginia for the spring semester, I wonder how I can be so physically not ready. Mentally, I'm prepared to go back after a four week class hiatus, and emotionally...well, I have my reasons for desiring a rapid return to the Harrisonburg area. From a physical standpoint, however, I am simply not ready. My laundry is still not done, nothing is packed, and the stuff I need to get into my car tomorrow morning is currently spread among no fewer than six rooms. Once again, as always, I have nearly resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to forget something; I can only hope that it's not an overly important something.

It's times like this that I wish Dan and I had taken our plans for the Port a little more seriously.
