Daredevil
After months of waiting, I saw Daredevil with Amanda last night. I have almost nothing to say about the film that could even vagulely be construed as negative: Ben Affleck was Matt Murdock, Jennifer Garner was solid, Colin Farrell was awesome, Michael Clarke Duncan was perfectly cast as Kingpin, and Joe Pantoliano finally got a role where he didn't play a scumbag. Amanda, knowing nothing about Daredevil, came out saying "That's the way I like my superheroes: moody motherfuckers." My only complaint about the film was that the score was extremely sparse, and lackluster when it was noticeable.
Strangely, as I waited outside the theater afterward, I heard a group of teenagers deconstructing the film as if it was real: "First of all, there's no way he could have made those jumps. Second, she took a sai to the hilt in the gut and managed to crawl away? What the hell?" Who the hell expects the laws of physics to be followed in a comic book movie?

It’s funny how reviews can be so different. I read a review this morning that was very negative; they gave it a C-. Glad you liked it, though.
I liked it a lot too. But then again I was looking at Jennifer most of the time haha
