Music Industry's Year's End
Another presentation of the world's most useless awards, the Grammys, has come and gone. I could care less about most of them, because I don't expect my favorite artists to get any sort of recognition from the people who "matter" in the context of the Grammys, but I'm genuinely upset that John Mayer failed to win Best New Artist: there's nothing I would have liked more to see him get the Kiss Of Death that is that award. In any case, the year's end retrospective provided by the RIAA and other outlets has prompted me to add a few records to my wishlist.
