Near Miss
I love thunderstorms. I haven't been involved in a thunderstorm since last summer (unless you count the one at the end of the Foo Fighters concert in April, which I don't because it was raining hard and I had to drive home and it was dark and I couldn't really enjoy it properly). All summer long, I live on Accuweather's doppler radar and watch approaching green, yellow, and orange blobs, hoping they come close enough to catch some hard, white rain or spectacularly loud thunder.
I've been waiting for one blob to hit for the past thirty minutes, and the latest refresh of Accuweather's radar reveals that it actually missed us by about a mile or so to the north. There's still hope for a few on the way within a couple hours, though.
After all of this whining, of course, I know that I'm doomed to get lots of rain the weekend of June 6, when I really don't want it.

Hello AJ. Remember me, your old friend Beth? I would like to tell you that if you don’t come out of hiding at some point this summer and hang out with your old PHHS crew, we are going to hunt you down and give you pain in some horrible way. Now, we are having a small get-togther to celebrate all of our birthdays hopefully this weekend and you must come. If you don’t go there, then you will not see me because I will be in EUROPE (Be jealous. Be very, very jealous).
Anyway, I am ordering you to hang out with us at some point this summer. You managed to bless us with your presence on New Year’s Eve, and I expect that again. COME SEE US!!!
Love, Beth
PS: Call me! Get my number from Dan!
