Rabbit Food: $12
Mom and I went to the Metropolitan Flower Exchange on Rt. 17 on Friday to pick out some flowers for her garden out front this year. I saw sunflowers and thought to myself, "Hey, cool! Sunflowers! We should get some and plant them out back!"
I also said my thoughts out loud, and Mom thought that they weren't completely useless (like many of my ramblings likely were that day), so we bought six sunflower plants for $12.
I was feeling adventurous that night, so we went outside and planted them. Two we kept together in the front yard, next to the bird bath, and the other four were planted in the backyard along the fence, next to the two surviving blue spruce trees from some forgotten Arbor Day. I dug the holes (I'm good at digging, remember) and mom put the flowers in their places. All was well.
Yesterday morning, I realized that the flowers must not have been happy with where we placed them, for three of the four in the backyard had committed ritual suicide by cutting off their own heads and chewing on their leaves. At least something enjoyed them.

I envy your digging skills, because I only have tree eating skills.
