Billy Joel - Greatest Hits
The first double CD set I've ever owned, this was also one of the first CDs I ever ordered through the Columbia House music club (to which I have belonged several times throughout my life). Billy Joel was my first favorite artist, and his was the first concert I ever attended (October 12, 1992, at Madison Square Garden).
This is probably another CD that I identified so readily with due to Mom's passion for Oldies radio stations. The popularity of We Didn't Start The Fire didn't hurt, either, as Billy Joel was actually considered cool for a short time in school.
Say Goodbye To Hollywood was one of the first actual songs I ever learned to play on piano.

This is one of my fav cd’s ever. I love every song. :-)
I’m not entirely sure about this, but I think the first double CD I ever owned was “Tommy - The Musical,” which I got for like $8 at that place in Westwood that has used CDs that I can’t remember the name of.
Hey, we should go back there someday soon!
I just bought this one a few months ago. My roommate and I were drunk and flipping channels when we came to an episode of American Idol where they were apparently singing only Billy Joel songs, and we simultaneously teared up and ran out of the apartment to buy this. Then we blasted “Captain Jack” and sang along really off-key until the neighbors came over and told us to shut up.
Oh, also! My uncle was in Billy Joel’s graduating class. Rawk.
