Dave Matthews Band - Under The Table And Dreaming

Dave Matthews Band - Under The Table And Dreaming For the longest time, I was almost violently anti-Dave Matthews Band. Though I'd never listened to them extensively, I wasn't a fan of the stuff on the radio, and I hated the conformity of "everyone at Hills loves Dave Matthews Band." But Dan convinced me to give this record a try, and lent me his copy. I fell in love pretty quickly, and had a complete collection of their studio releases within a few short months. Later, I became an avid collector of live recordings, and I'd estimate that I still have 30-40 shows sitting around on CDR.

Since that time, I've almost come full circle with regards to Dave Matthews Band; while I don't hate them, I can't get excited about anything they do since Everyday was such a disaster.

  1. I recall your almost fanatical obsession with DMB. I’m not sure how I feel about starting that.

Though it did lead us to some other kick-ass music (Howie Day, PMB, etc.) so I think in the end it turned out alright.
