Radiohead - The Bends

Shortly after I discovered the internet, I got on USENET and quickly gravitated to rec.music.rem. Everybody was talking about this band Radiohead, a band that I'd never heard of before. I asked what record I should try, and was told to get The Bends first. So I did.

As promised, it was a bit of a challenge to get into, but I gave it a chance, and it became a favorite. Eventually I got OK Computer, and eventually Pablo Honey, and five and a half years later, Radiohead is my favorite band.
