U2 - Pop
This was the first U2 record I ever bought, and I still don't understand why some people consider it their worst effort. Granted, it's different, but that's hardly an automatic indictment of its quality. I sat for hours in my room, playing Nintendo with the sound turned down and listening to Pop.
One of the first songs I learned to play on acoustic guitar was Staring at the Sun. Earlier this year, I was sitting in my apartment, screwing around playing it, and Amanda said "Ooh, I know that song!" I said, "How do you know that song?" as if nobody else had ever owned this record. Sometimes I really am an idiot.

Anyway, I’m always surprised when people know songs on the Mix CDs I throw together, as if I had been the sole discoverer of all the music I like.
