Al Walsh - Son Of Chime
Al Walsh released his solo record while still a member of Pat McGee Band, but quit the band to be with his family shortly thereafter. I bought myself a copy of his record at the first show I was at where it was available.
After Al had been out of the band for awhile, a show was announced in Greenwich, CT, with him, Coby Brown Group, and Granian, and I had to be there. I bought tickets in advance for me and Amy; it would be her first concert.
I may have been the only person who bought tickets in advance to what was a very poorly-advertised show; there were (maybe) 30 people there. It was, in any case, an incredibly intimate setting, and Amy and I managed to meet and actually have a couple conversations with Al before and after the show.

I dig this album - Al’s music reminds me of James Taylor.
Mr Walsh, i read the words to the song that you wrote about me today, it prompted me to write. you promised a new cd with two about us— on it, i have yet to see it…. or hear it…you, the most promising most talented most fan generous, artist— is making a big mistake by not letting us continue to experience the gracious talents you hold both within as will as express.. it is not just me waiting for the best unexploited musician, lyricist and vocalist to become exposed. tra
Here’s an update on Al. Al and I were married March 5, 2004. We met at his church a couple of years ago and haven’t been apart since. One of Al’s jobs is cantoring at church where he leads several masses a week including an awesome comtemporary mass for teens. He is about to open a recording studio that we built in our home, start teaching guitar lessons and record/produce up ‘n coming bands. He is working on a new album and his webite, alwalshmusic.com, should be updated within the next couple of months. We are very happy and have 6 children together making life very full and challanging. Karen

AJ,
I’d like to update Al’s website. It’s now ALWALSH.NET. Thanks!
