Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head

Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head I heard Clocks somewhere. I don't know where, I don't know exactly when, but I heard it. I was absolutely taken with it the first time I heard it, and I became more taken with it every time I heard it thereafter. I downloaded the mp3 and listened to it over, and over, and over, and over, and over.

I needed more. But Amanda said she did, too, so when I went to Plan 9, I bought two copies: one for me, one for her. This may have been my favorite record of all last year. And I now consider Coldplay my second favorite band.

Comments and Trackbacks

  1. It might have been me. I’m not sure on this one, but I recall downloading Clocks from Kyle and listening to it over and over before you two felt the addiction I did.

I like Coldplay, but I definitely did not get into them as much as you two. They’re good, but I need to be a very particular mood for them.

  2. Hm, not for me. For my money, Coldplay are the greatest songwriters out there today, period. There hasn’t been an occasion yet when I can’t get absolutely lost in their lyrics.

  3. You need to experiment with more songwriters, methinks.

  4. No, MEthinks that their lyrics stand on their own.

I’m gonna buy a gun and start a war
If you can tell me something worth fighting for

  5. I don’t know. Aimee Mann kicks some songwriting ass.

  6. Haven’t listened to enough of her. But I will, and I will also stand by my original comments.
