Meet Alice

This is Alice. She is a young (we don't know her age) common albino rat.

Amanda bought Alice at Petco over the weekend, and we spent much of Saturday playing with her. She's already pretty comfortable around people, and seems to rather enjoy sitting alone in the corner of Amanda's couch.
Alice hasn't given anyone any problems out of the cage, but has bitten several people (myself included) when we've put our fingers near the bars of her cage, and has bitten Amanda when she tried to lift her out of her cage. Amanda's research indicates that this is just a training issue, so we'll be wearing gloves to liberate her until she learns that hands are not food.
For the record, her tail is soft, not scaly, and she cleans herself thoroughly every time she is handled.

I’m sorry, but EEEWWWWW!
Have fun with her!
Oh my God that’s so cool! Not eww. Cool. Awesome. Incredibly exciting. Can’t wait to meet her!
It doesn’t look like any RATS that I have seen at my shop.
I notice that her eyes burn intensely with the fires of hell.
Is “Alice” short for “Alicestopheles”?
OK, she may be kind of cute, but she’s a RAT!! Keep us posted on what kind of pet she makes. Should be interesting. And keep your fingers away from the cage…
