The Ring
I watched The Ring on HBO On Demand last night after hearing from almost everyone that it was really scary and well-done. As it wound up, I thought, "Good movie, decent ending, not all that scary." Then my set-top box freaked out and wouldn't let me turn off the TV or change channels or, basically, anything else. I know it was only a coincidence, but it certainly enhanced the feeling of dread the movie had stirred in me. I wasn't able to fall asleep for at least an hour.
On a somewhat-related note, does anyone else have any experience with the OnDemand service? It almost seems like there's not enough bandwidth when I watch a movie, as I get jerky and blocky video every couple minutes or so. Actually, this effect also served to enhance The Ring.
