Political Interlude

So Dean didn't win Iowa. While this is disappointing, at least he got beat by the one other Democrat for whom I would gladly pull the lever Election Day, John Edwards. New Hampshire now looks like a horse race between Clark, Dean and Kerry. Factor in the possibility that Super Tuesday will see each of these four candidates win a couple states, and this race is suddenly looking mighty interesting. Being that I have a financial stake in the Dean candidacy (as he is the first political candidate to whom I have donated money), I'll support him to the end. Should he drop out, however, I'll willingly throw my support behind whomever else is the frontrunner at that time.

On a related note, Supreme Dictator President Bush will give the State of the Union tonight. I hear he's going to propose supporting the war on terror with revenues generated from oil drilling on Mars.

Please please please please please please please let this be the last SotU Bush gives.

  1. They’ve also leaked that he’s going to propose increasing the budget to medicare and homeland security, because the polls show that people agree with the Democrats that these should be increased. He’s trying to cover his ass big time.

  2. They’ve also leaked that he’s going to encourage Congress to make his tax cuts permanent. People that can’t see through this kind of short-sighted election-year spin are probably beyond hope.

  3. Are Mars and Iraq in the same universe?

  4. Dean didn’t just lose; he got his ass kicked. It made me sad.
