Oscar Nominations

Oscar nominees are out. I've never felt so strongly about who should win certain awards.

• Johnny Depp or Bill Murray for Best Actor? Johnny Depp was awesome, but the nomination is the thing for him. Bill Murray all the way.
• LotR:RotK needs to win Best Picture and Peter Jackson needs to win Best Director. I fully expect both things to happen.
• The Visual Effects winner should definitely be the film that has a colon in its title.
• Lost in Translation really should win Best Original Screenplay. I know it's not really cool to make a statement like this when I've only seen one of the other films nominated, but I don't care. Sofia can't win Director or Picture, and this is the most fitting way to honor the film.
• I consider it a great injustice that Sean Astin was not nominated for Best Supporting Actor. Come to think of it, none of the actors in the New Holy Trilogy were nominated for anything. Horrible, horrible oversight.
