Overexposed
In the past month or so, I've noticed a disturbing upward trend in the amount of press particular public figures have been getting. Actually, it's one public figure in particular.
Some people just don't seem to understand that if you burn too brightly, too quickly, you can never be anything more than a flash in the pan. It's happened throughout pop culture history: big-time media blitzes that do plenty to splash the face of the next big band/author/politician across the front page of every major newspaper, magazine and website, but in the end, just result in the inevitable backlash and long fall. It's going to happen again, and I can't wait, because I am fucking sick of this guy being shoved down my throat by every major (and minor) news outlet.
I'd wish for him to die, but that's a terrible thing to do; besides, he'd just come back three days later anyway.

You’re talking about Jesus, right?
Yes, but I suppose I should have specified that I’m only complaining about him in his “Son of God” role. I really don’t have any problems with Jesus the philosopher.
Jesus has become the ass-clown of the advertising agency, thanks to Mel Gibson. He’s replaced Ronald McDonald at the top of the list of people I don’t want to see in TV commercials.
