One More Week of Freedom

One week from today, I begin life as a grownup. I had planned on doing nothing this week, but — in spite of its glorification in Office Spacenothing is actually pretty boring. Amy is spending a week at bowling camp, Amanda’s in Pennsylvania for a couple more weeks, and nobody is around. I still need to do some work on my room (it’s still a bit of a disaster from the painting), but that won’t take six days. Possible activities to keep me occupied:

  • Verified Voting Rally in Trenton tomorrow. Prof. Ed Felten, among others, will be speaking. Only problems: a drive to and from Trenton alone would suck, and it looks like it will probably be raining.
  • See Anchorman. I usually hate going to movies alone, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
  • Get a haircut. I’m several weeks overdue.
  • See Ben Folds at his in-store concert in NYC on Wednesday. I wish it wasn’t so expensive to get into the city.
  • Put up pictures from the trip. I’ve put up a select few pictures at flickr already, and with 1200 to choose from, I’ll probably add some more there. But I’m getting close to my storage limit on my hosting, and looking at the bills from the trip, I can’t upgrade to a dedicated host yet. A comprehensive online photo album may need to wait for awhile.

So does anyone from the area want to drive to Trenton tomorrow?

  1. Welcome back, and I love your pictures. Although I insist that you apologize to Nothing this instant … it is NOT boring!

  2. Let me be a bit more specific: nothing, in moderation, is fine. A week of nothing is boring.
