Road Trip Photo Album

I’ve ruled out a new hosting package for the immediate future, so there’s no way I’ll be uploading a majority of the pictures that Amanda and I took on our road trip. New developments at Flickr, however, have made me less anxious to do so. I’ve created a photo album of pictures from the trip using their new tool Organizr. I’ll keep adding pictures from the road trip to the album until I think it’s a representative sample of what we saw and did.

Flickr is rapidly becoming one of my favorite web applications ever, as every new feature they roll out is cooler and more useful than anything that has come before. I’m a little bit bummed that my photo manager of choice, Picasa, doesn’t have a plug-in architecture, because the newly public Flickr API is awesome. I’d love to be able to create albums, tag, title, and describe my photos locally, then hit a single button and have everything synchronized with Flickr.
