Hey, Apple, be less cheap!

I helped my family switch last Friday. The switch came with promises of no more spyware, very little pain learning new programs, and, most importantly, no more of my whining about administering a shitty Windows box.

Apple, when it takes five minutes for iPhoto to get its act together after plugging in a digital camera, there is clearly not enough memory in the default configuration. We’ve already got 512 MB on the way, but seriously Apple, eat the $40 (or less) per unit and ship a default configuration with a workable amount of RAM. 256 MB is Just Not Enough™.
